Bike Tours | FRAGMA POTAMON LAKE
Fragma Potamos is an artificial dam in the prefecture of Rethymno in the area Potami in Amari . The dam was built to collect the water of the Amari valley to create the potamos lake . The water is mainly used for irrigation purposes.
The idea for the construction of the dam dates back to 1965. The project was inaugurated in 2009 and the lake is located in the valley of Amari, 25 km southeast of Rethymnon.
